Hello Unity Knights!

This is just a reminder that Unity's Spirit Week begins on Monday, 9/15! Monday is Crazy Hair or Mismatched Clothing,Tuesday is Neon Day, Wednesday is Hat Day, Thursday is Sports Team Day, and Friday is Pajama Day!! We hope to see you dressed up all week to show Unity's Spirit!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We’re excited to announce that next week is Spirit Week at Unity Elementary! Each day will have a fun theme, and we encourage all students to participate and show their school spirit!

Here’s the schedule:

Monday, 9/15 – Mismatch Clothes or Crazy Hair Day
Let’s get creative with wild outfits or wacky hairstyles!

Tuesday, 9/16 – Neon Day
Wear your brightest and boldest neon colors.

Wednesday, 9/17 – Hat Day
Sport your favorite hat all day long.

Thursday, 9/18 – Favorite Sports Team Day
Wear gear from your favorite team—any sport, any team!

Friday, 9/19 – Pajamas Day
Come comfy and cozy in your school-appropriate pajamas.

We can’t wait to see all the fun and school spirit next week!

Parents/Guardians, please check your student's backpacks tonight! Some of you will be receiving a Home Income Survey and/or a Strengths and Needs Screener Consent Form. These are forms that we must receive from each of our Unity Students! Most of you that attended Back to School Night were able to fill out these forms at that time. However, if your student has one in their backpack, it means that we DO NOT have one filled out for you. Please take a few moments to fill these out tonight and return them with your student tomorrow! Thank you!

Due to the rain forecasted for tomorrow, Field Day for all students is being postponed until Thursday of this week. Students will be spending 2 hours outside on that day so please dress your students appropriately! Temps will be between 43-62. Grade PK-1 will be from 9:00 - 11:10, and Grades 2-5 will be from 1:00-3:10.

Hello parents, Just a friendly reminder that ISASP testing begins tomorrow and will continue through May 6th. Please help your child shine by making sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, arrive to school on time, and attend school every day. These small things can really make a big difference and help them do their very best. Thank you for your support and encouragement as we cheer on our amazing students!

Good Afternoon Unity Knights! This is just a reminder that there will be a 2 hour early out tomorrow, Wednesday 4/16. Staff and Students will be dismissed at 1:30 pm. There will be no school from Thursday 4/17-Monday 4/21. Enjoy your Spring Break! School will resume on Tuesday 4/22

Attentions Unity Knights! From this point forward, please do not use the bus/fire lane in front of Unity to drop off or pick up your students between the following hours: 7:30am - 9:30 am M-F 2:30 - 4:00 pm M-TH 12:30 - 2:00 pm on Fridays! If you pull your car into this lane for any reason during these hours, you will be asked to move your vehicle! PLEASE ONLY USE THE PARKING LOT DURING THESE TIMES!! Thank you

Good Morning Unity Knights! This is just a reminder that Spring Pictures will be taken this Wednesday, April 9th! Please be aware that not all students will have their picture taken; pictures will only be taken of new students, and those students whose parents contact the office and request it! Have a great day!

Good Afternoon Unity Knights! Tonight in your child's backpack, you should find their report card as well as a handout from Digital Solutions announcing Spring Pictures. Spring Pictures will be taken at Unity on Wednesday, April 9th. Pictures of your student will only be taken if you notify the school or the teacher via phone call or written notice that you are requesting pictures to be taken!! PLEASE REMEMBER, NOT ALL STUDENT'S PHOTO'S WILL BE TAKEN; ONLY THOSE WHOSE PARENTS HAVE REQUESTED THEM TO BE! Students who were absent on fall picture day and any new students who arrived to Unity after fall pictures will automatically have their pictures taken. Pictures will be available to purchase online 5 days after picture day. You will receive a proof flyer with your student's personalized gallery as well as instructions on how to order.

Attention Unity Knights! Just a reminder that there is no school for students tomorrow, Thursday 3/27, and Friday 3/28! Tomorrow, Thursday 3/27, is Parent/Teacher Conferences at Unity. If you have not yet signed up, please call call Unity and we can help you get set up for a conference. Also, Kindergarten Registration is on Wednesday, April 2nd. There will be NO SCHOOL for all TK and Kindergarten students on that day. If you haven't yet registered your child for Kindergarten Registration, please contact Unity for assistance.

Our Title 1 "Pastries with Peeps" event that was scheduled for this Wednesday, 3/19, for all kindergarten students and their parents/guardians has been postponed due to the expected impending weather. It has been rescheduled for the following week on Wednesday, 3/26 from 8:15-9:15 am

Don't forget to sign up for Parent/Teacher Conferences at myconferencetime.com/Unity Also, the Unity PTO will be providing staff with a Nacho Bar for conferences on Thursday, March 27th. If you are able to help with a food donation for the Nacho bar, it would be greatly appreciated. All items will need to be brought to the office by 9:00 am Thursday, 3/27. Attention Unity Parents, you can now sign up for spring conferences by going to: myconferencetime/unity Parent teacher conferences are on Tuesday, March 25th, from 3:40pm- 5:25pm and on Thursday, March 27th, from 8:40am-3:15pm ELL conferences are on Tuesday, March 18th, from 3:40pm-5:25pm. Please DO NOT sign up on this date unless you are in need of interpreter services. There is no school for staff or students on Friday, March 28th.
